2019 – Present: Post-doctoral Research Associate working in the Physical Mathematics Laboratory in the Department of Mathematics at UNC-Chapel Hill. Investigating hydrodynamic quantum analogues and faraday waves.
2018 – Present:Â Principal investigator for a collaborative project with the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and ESPCI in Paris. Investigating the solid/fluid mechanics in various plant species and their evolutionary processes.
2017 – 2019:Â Post-doctoral Research Associate working in the Poromechanics Laboratory in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Prof. Chris MacMinn. Investigating the flow-induced deformation in various porous flow systems.
2014 – 2017:Â PhD in the Smart Materials & Surfaces Laboratory at Northumbria University, advised by Prof. Glen McHale. I developed a novel type of macroscopically patterned, liquid-infused surfaces, with the capability for precision droplet control.
2009 – 2013:Â Undergraduate integrated Masters degree in Physics at Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.
